Body Boss Method #2

It’s been a while since the last time I wrote about this (whoops…), but I’ve still been slogging through the Body Boss method with only a couple of skipped days.

As you might have gathered, I’m waaay past the ‘pre-workout’ stage by now, and I can safely say it’s got more than a little bit harder (which is obviously the idea). I’ve now been notched up from 2 reps of the circuit to 3 and I have a whole extra minute to complete the circuit each time round now. The great thing about the program is that every few weeks it gives you a mini circuit to complete, which is the same every time, to help you measure you’re progress. I’ve managed to knock 2 minutes off my time each time I’ve done it, so something must be working

Whilst I was seeing some great results at first, I feel like they’ve sort of plateaued over the past few weeks. I still feel great and less anxious and the doctor says my heart rate is now really slow which means I’m probably going to live forever. But, the promise of my ‘dream body’ is still a way away. Considering I started this to look good for my holiday and my summer holiday has now been and gone, this is a little frustrating.

Of course, this is more than likely my fault; although I’ve been religiously sticking to the circuit plans, I’ve been a little lax on the extra gym work it suggests and I’ve done absolutely nothing about my less-than-perfect diet. Combine this with the extra two pounds I gained on holiday and you’ll see that I’m still pretty far from achieving my goal.

In spite of all this, though, I’m still motivated to at least complete the program and I’m curious to start again at the end to see if it has got any easier. For the last few weeks, I’m also going to attempt to be better with my food, something that’s a constant struggle if you have zero willpower and everyone in your office is an amazing baker like me. I’ll keep you posted on my progress!
