It’s been a while since I’ve written one of these posts and I feel like, recently the small things in life have got a bit lost for me. As I try and get myself back on my journey to being more mindful, now seems like a good time to reflect on the little things that are always worth remembering.
I’ve written about the sunshine in one of these (if not more) before, but it really does make all the difference. The sun has come as welcome relief from the torrential rain and spring snowstorm (climate change, people) and it’s made all the difference to this cold-blooded writer.
You know the ones. Those little jobs that you really don’t want to do, so you put off for an eternity. As I prepare to move house, I’ve been getting productive with my time and cleared out a load of junk that I don’t need as well as documents that have been gathering dust since 2013. I’ve also resisted the urge to even look at Boohoo and my bank account is so much happier for it.
There’s nothing like an unexpected discovery to put a smile on your face – even if it’s not quite groundbreaking. I’ve recently discovered the following: Headspace’s new sleep sounds series (check it out, if you haven’t already), the feeling of waking up from a night out not hungover and Ainsley Harriot’s couscous packs which are super yummy and have changed my mind about couscous forever. As I said, not groundbreaking stuff.
